The primary purpose of this job is to prepare, file, and follow‑up on entries to U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Partner Government Agencies for goods that are imported into the United States. The Entry Writer will primarily be responsible for the coding and data entry of files for importations, the coordination of the customs clearance process, and the communication with operations, ensuring a timely clearance and notification for delivery, as well as invoicing.

Responsibilities will include:

Import documentation review and verification for data thoroughness and accuracy

Data entry, and the submission of information via the Automated Brokerage Interface (ABI) and documentation via the Document Imaging System (DIS)

Communication via phone and email with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Partner Government Agencies, importers of record, consignees, shippers, clients, airlines, and Biocair staff

Generating, reviewing, scanning, uploading, and archiving shipping documentation

Generate and send invoices for brokerage services

Prior experience writing customs entries is preferred

In return we offer:

Between $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, commensurate with experience

Please note this is a full time role, 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 08.30‑17.30 and offered as hybrid working 60% of the week from our office in Raleigh.
