Vantage Technology Consulting Group is seeking candidates for a full-time senior business development and marketing specialist to strategically organize and execute business development and marketing activities for our Design & Engineering (D&E) team. In this role, you will help identify and capitalize on business development opportunities. You’ll also help maximize the D&E team’s visibility and the awareness of services that the team can provide for higher education, healthcare, corporate, and civic clients. This is a fully remote work / work from home (WFH) position for someone located in the Los Angeles metro area, with attendance at local events and occasional travel to events and conferences. What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

The successful candidate will work with firm and D&E team leadership to: Lead the D&E team’s business development efforts, with a particular focus on expanding our footprint in the higher education and health care sectors , by identifying appealing opportunities, conducting networking and outreach, meeting with prospective clients, and representing Vantage at relevant industry events. Empower D&E team members to be successful “seller-doers,” including by tracking and distributing leads, analyzing RFP requirements, coordinating materials for proposal completion, managing the development of collateral that reflects Vantage’s distinctive capabilities to meet client needs, assisting in the development of thought leadership, and more. Support delivery o f engaging and attractive project proposals, including proposal writing, editing, and preparation, as well as assisting in managing tasks and activities and QA/QC for the proposal pipeline. Work with marketing and D&E teams on social media strategy and content, ensuring that the D&E team uses social channels effectively. Assist in the preparation of compelling presentations and interview content, and in the planning of engaging client events and similar activities. Attend local AEC / higher education / health care community events and activities that serve to reinforce existing relationships and create new contacts with the local end user / architect / engineer community. Assist in organizing conference activities and attend industry conferences as needed. Support Vantage’s CRM (Deltek VantagePoint) and other Marketing and Business Development infrastructure and systems, including folder structure, file naming conventions, content management systems, etc. Experience working as a marketing / business development specialist with or within the architectural / engineering / construction (AEC) industry is a plus. Ability to identify opportunities where Vantage is well positioned to provide value and win new work Experience building and managing a pipeline of qualified leads Confidence in initiating conversations with prospective clients and nurturing long-term relationships Adept at articulating an understanding of client needs and writing compelling proposals and other business development materials

High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to interface well with internal and external team members, professional organizations, and clients at all levels and in virtual or in-person settings Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills Very high attention to detail and accuracy Problem solving and decision-making skills Self-motivation, the ability to proactively engage, as well as the ability to work independently Strong time management skills and the ability to plan and prioritize effectively to meet concurrent deadlines Collaboration and teamwork skills

Strong sense of accountability for completing work within defined scope and timeline Commitment to working and sharing expertise in a collaborative team environment Ability to identify and recommend areas for improvement or simplification Desire to learn service areas to support the mission of the strategic team

Technical skills, knowledge, and/or ability to learn

Strong skills with Microsoft Office products, including particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (preferably intermediate to advanced experience) Experience with or desire to learn project management, CRM, and collaboration platforms and tools Graphic design experience is a plus, but not required

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred) Background and experience in marketing, communications, project management, and/or business relationship management

Location

This is a fully remote position, requiring attendance at local events with occasional travel to national events and conferences. Vantage has a strong preference for those located in Southern California (Los Angeles metro) to facilitate ease of travel to industry events and prospective client meetings. Why Should You Join Us?
