Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Category Marketing Specialist to join our team. This individual will support Brand Activation Managers in planning, organizing, and executing creative, content, and packaging deliverables with cross-functional partners. The Category Marketing Specialist will be the driving force behind the day-to-day project management tasks and ensure projects align with business goals and strategies.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Brand Activation Managers to support the planning and execution of creative, content, and packaging projects.
Manage the intake and initiation of various project types, ensuring all relevant information is organized in a clear, digestible format.
Lead the management of project deliverables, ensuring alignment with budget allocation and project schedules.
Partner with leadership teams to ensure projects are executed in line with business goals, strategies, and objectives.
Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders in Creative, Packaging, and Merchandising to ensure smooth project progression and communication.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects and requests from strategy through to execution at the item level, ensuring all deadlines and milestones are met.
Provide consistent project updates and reports to stakeholders, identifying potential risks or delays and offering solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
2+ years of relevant work experience in project management, preferably in a marketing or creative environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence others effectively.
Ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple projects at once, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management tools is highly encouraged.
Strong organizational and problem skills, with a proactive approach to project management.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the consumer goods, retail, or branded product sectors.
Familiarity with creative, content, and packaging processes.
Strong understanding of budget and resource management.
