As a Marketing Analyst at Systems Irvine, you will partner with Product Marketing to target and win profitable business. As a strategic force behind emerging business opportunities, you'll analyze market trends, validate potential wins, and craft compelling business cases. Your day will be filled with competitive deep dives, proposal development, and positioning strategies that drive value and impact. You'll also collaborate cross-functionally to deliver sales enablement tools and shape industry messaging through trade shows and thought leadership. Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs Responsible for developing marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace Generates market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs Establishes pricing strategies, cost modeling, and coordinates stakeholders Works closely with Business Units to provide support updating associated marketing collateral Collaborates with internal teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and product development, to align business development strategies with organizational goals Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree, marketing or business concentration preferred 2+ years of job‑related work experience Analytical thinking with systematic approach to problem solving Proficient in Excel, with the ability to transform data into clear visual information Familiarity with basic value pricing models Intermediate proficiency in working with AI tools and prompts Effective communicator, both in written presentations (e.g., PowerPoint) and verbal formats Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand Must be able to exchange accurate information Operates in a professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing environment Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat Noise level in the work environment is usually average We are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we will not be sponsoring work visas for this position at this time. Compensation and Benefits
Salary Pay Range: $65,000 - 120,000 USD per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for this role. Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
