Job Description Raritan Valley Community College is looking for part‑time instructors to teach Communication Studies courses. Possible openings include Communication Theory, Mass Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Interpersonal Communication.
These courses help students understand how communication works in everyday life, across cultures, in relationships, and through various media. Students explore key concepts such as identity, language, media influence, cultural perspectives, and how we connect with others.
Responsibilities
Know the core concepts in communication studies
Lead engaging discussions and help students apply what they learn
Create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
Master's degree in Communication or a closely related field
Prior teaching experience required; college‑level teaching preferred
Committed to student engagement and developing practical communication skills and cultural awareness
Additional Requirements
Position located on the Main RVCC Campus unless otherwise noted
As a New Jersey First Act Employer, new employees must establish a primary residence in New Jersey within one year unless an exemption applies
