Role Overview Rockwell Group is seeking a full-time Senior Architectural Designer / Project Manager with F&B and/or restaurant design experience to join our office in New York.
Responsibilities
Manage design team in conjunction with Studio Leader and senior leadership to ensure design intent and overall success of multiple projects simultaneously
Oversee multiple projects’ staffing plans, timelines, budgets, billing, and collections in Deltek and report/communicate information to Studio Leader
Coordinate with internal senior leadership, external project team(s), and consultants to ensure project completion in compliance with design intent
Develop and document design concepts for projects as a production team member
Create design presentations, mood boards, and material boards/binders to help convey look and feel of design concepts for clients
Requirements
10+ years of experience in architecture, interiors, or design
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, interior design, or relevant field
Experience in F&B and restaurant design is required; hospitality design experience is highly preferred
Experience with all project phases (Concept through Construction Administration), including built work
Demonstrate a strong balance of technical expertise and conceptual design skills
Strong experience in AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Creative Cloud; Revit is preferred
Knowledgeable in materials, finishes, millwork design, FF&E, and OS&E is preferred, but not required
Registered Architects are preferred, but not required
Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to meet fast‑pace and changing deadlines
Highly motivated self-starter, with an attention to detail
Enthusiasm for working on multi‑disciplinary and highly collaborative teams

This is a full‑time, in‑studio position with hybrid/work‑from‑home flexibility, provided it does not interfere with responsibilities and complies with current office policy outlined in the Rockwell Group Handbook. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience ranging from $90,000 to $140,000 excluding bonuses and other benefits. This is a good faith estimate based on the expectations laid out in the job description. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and yearly performance reviews.
