Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) provides the following pay range for adjunct faculty teaching photography courses on campus. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
Base pay range:
$2,440.00/hr - $3,440.00/hr
Salary:
$2,440 (lecture) - $3,340 (studio) per class, per term.
Location:
Lakewood, Colorado

Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design seeks qualified applicants to teach the following courses on campus:
Darkroom I (PH 2300), Lighting I, II, & III (PH 1500, 2500, & 3500), Color Management + Printing (PH 1150), Survey of Photography (PH 1000), Principles of Photography (PH 1100)
and Portraiture (PH 2200).
Adjunct faculty are part of a growing, dynamic community of diverse educators. RMCAD is a small, premiere college certified by HLC and NASAD, offering degrees in fine and applied arts. RMCAD's on-campus program consists of 8-week courses offered monthly. Adjunct faculty are assigned courses based on availability, experience, and student enrollment. RMCAD is committed to supporting faculty in educational care through teaching, academic excellence, engaged pedagogical practices, and professional development. Our goal is to support students in their journey to becoming engaged citizens prepared to flourish in a complex, global world.
Primary Responsibilities
Teaching and instructional activities: Deliver instruction by establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement and effectively planning and preparing for classes for student success.
Record class attendance in Faculty Portal and submit midterm/final grades by the due date specified.
Provide timely and periodic feedback to students on assignments and participation.
Successfully complete an online Faculty Certification Course and a two-week faculty online orientation and certification class administered through RMCAD's Learning Management System.
Qualifications
MFA or MA in Photography or Media Arts
Must reside in the greater Denver area and be willing to drive to campus
Experience in Digital InkJet Printing and Color Management
Experience in Digital Asset Management
Experience in Studio Strobe Lighting
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience preferred
College-level teaching experience preferred
