Join Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) as an Adjunct Faculty member in Art History. This part‑time position supports the BFA degrees in Animation, Art Education, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Game Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Design, and Photography.
Payment and Location
Base pay range: $2,440.00/hr – $3,340.00/hr.
Salary: $2,440 (lecture) – $3,340 (studio) per class, per term.
Location: Lakewood, Colorado.
Primary Responsibilities
Teaching and Instructional Activities: engage students, conduct evaluations by peers and supervisors, and comply with administrative policies and instructional deadlines.
Facilitate meaningful learning of curriculum and competencies while supporting an inclusive learning environment.
Encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility, respect, lifelong learning, and ethics.
Deliver instruction by creating a conducive classroom environment and effectively planning and preparing for classes.
Hold regular, weekly office hours.
Attend required training sessions and departmental meetings (additional compensation provided).
Record class attendance and submit midterm/final grades by the due dates specified.
Provide timely, periodic, and meaningful feedback to students on assignments and participation.
Successfully complete the online Faculty Certification Course and a two‑week faculty orientation administered through RMCAD’s Learning Management System.
Required Qualifications
Graduate degree in a relevant field.
University‑level teaching experience.
Residency in the greater Denver area.
Evidence of exemplary student engagement and advanced pedagogical strategies.
All specializations in art history are encouraged to apply.
