Position Title:

PCB Designer

Wage:

$40.00 - $43.00/hour

We are seeking a highly skilled PCB Designer with strong RF layout experience to support the design and development of high-performance RF and microwave products. This individual will take ownership of complex PCB layouts-including 8-layer and 16-layer boards-and will work closely with RF Design Engineers to ensure optimal signal integrity, manufacturability, and reliability.

The ideal candidate has at least 5+ years of PCB layout experience, deep familiarity with Altium Designer, and hands-on experience with RF signal paths, grounding strategies, impedance control, and high-frequency design best practices.

You’ll play a critical part in enabling high-performance RF systems by ensuring clean, reliable, and manufacturable PCB designs. Your work will directly influence signal integrity, overall product performance, and manufacturing success.

PCB Designer Responsibilities:

Lead PCB layout for RF and microwave products using Altium Designer

Design and optimize 8-layer and 16-layer PCBs, including controlled-impedance, high-density, and mixed-signal layouts

Collaborate closely with RF and hardware engineers to interpret schematics and translate them into robust PCB layouts

Apply RF layout principles: grounding, shielding, stack-up planning, isolation, routing of high-frequency paths, and minimizing parasitic effects

Create and maintain footprint libraries, fabrication drawings, and documentation packages

Work directly with manufacturing partners on DFM/DFT considerations, stack-ups, fabrication notes, and build reviews

Perform design reviews and incorporate revisions based on engineering feedback

Maintain version control and project organization within Altium

Requirements for PCB Designer:

5+ years of professional PCB layout experience

Strong expertise with Altium Designer (schematic capture + layout)

Demonstrated experience laying out RF boards, microwave circuits, or other high‑frequency products

Experience with 8‑layer and 16‑layer stack‑ups, controlled impedance routing, and high‑density interconnects

Strong understanding of RF layout best practices (isolation, grounding, shielding, impedance control, minimizing coupling)

Familiar with industry fabrication processes, materials, tolerances, and PCB manufacturing guidelines

Ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams in a fast‑paced design environment

Experience with GaN, LDMOS, or other RF power amplifier architectures preferred

Background in RF test, measurement, or basic lab skills preferred

Knowledge of mechanical constraints, thermal design, and packaging preferred
