Job Description SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION
Creates and modifies detailed drawings and parts using electrical CAD software from sketches, layouts, or notes provided by engineering.
Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operations or the quality of the product.
Checks drawings versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.
Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards, and ECN/ECR documentation.
May work with system management, including file maintenance, backup, and storage.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience using Windchill for part and document creation and release
Experience using SAP for parts and document management
Experience using an electrical CAD system such as Xpedition, Altium, Cadence, or Zuken.
Understanding of the engineering change process and manufacturing implementation
Basic understanding of reading electrical schematics
Good written communication skills for reports and documentation
JOB DUTIES
Works with the engineering team to understand productivity or quality improvements needed in the product and update Xpedition electrical CAD files
Pulls new part numbers or updates existing part numbers and BOMs in Windchill as neededPrepares updated parts and documents for release into production, making sure that system processes are completed and stakeholders have reviewed and approved of change
Release and monitor change through Windchill, SAP, and manufacturing systems
Provide feedback to the engineering team on questions, roadblocks, or findings
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Technical school work preferred

At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
