As a Communications Specialist at YFC, you will be responsible for developing and delivering communications that support the National Service Center, Field Staff, volunteers, and students nationwide. You will be a key member of the team, using your expertise to ensure that all communication efforts are effective, engaging, and meet the needs of the organization. The Communications Specialist employs a variety of skills, such as communication planning, strategizing, writing, editing, proofreading, and creating various forms of digital content. They are well organized and utilize project management software and other tools to stay on track and on time. Essential Functions: Stakeholder Support and Coordination Writing and editing internal communications materials, such as newsletters, email updates, and announcements, to effectively communicate key messages and information to employees. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leadership to develop and execute communication campaigns. Researching, analyzing, and documenting internal trends and feedback to inform communication strategies. Providing guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders on internal communication-related issues Analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of internal communication efforts using metrics and analytics tools Establishing high-trust relationships with internal YFC stakeholders and offering timely, proactive, and responsive communication Working with stakeholders to understand their needs and desired outcomes and developing strategies to achieve them. Staying up to date with industry developments and best practices in internal communication and employee engagement Communication Department Support: Receiving Comms requisitions throughout the year and staging work according to the process; refining timelines and expectations with stakeholders and Communications Department Lead. Enhancing communication processes and finding efficiencies. Regulating and tracking all projects focusing on resource management, project triage, addressing scheduling conflicts, and project prioritization Maintaining a solid foundation for efficient workflow and process, from initial request to scoping, resource planning, and allocation Collaborating in team meetings to schedule forecasted work based on estimates and resource allocation needs. Working with the Communications Lead to build and execute an enhanced YFC Communication strategy for the organization. Spiritual Responsibilities Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life‑long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel. As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to: Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives. Position Requirements

Knowledge & Skills Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills Knowledge of email marketing best practices and experience using email marketing tools, such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact Experience creating and managing email campaigns, including designing templates, segmenting lists, and analyzing results. Familiarity with data list management systems and tools, such as CRM platforms or email marketing databases Experience with project management systems and other digital tools(Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, etc.) Ability to analyze data and use metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Preferred Skills / Experience: Experience using graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) Experience creating visually appealing and effective design elements, such as graphics, infographics, and presentations. Social Media Management Experience working within a large Christian organization or large church environment. Microsoft Office Suite Communication examples may be requested Credentials Required & Preferred Education Undergrad Degree in Business, Communications or Marketing preferred. Equivalent work experience (4+ years) will be considered. Physical Requirements Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and other co‑workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e‑mail for communication is essential.Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and to prepare or inspect documents. Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, occasionally move about inside the office to access files or office equipment, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, handheld devices, copy machine, and computer printer. No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force may be required. Good manual dexterity required for the use of computers, mobile devices, and other productivity technologies. The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer and phone are normal. Travel Requirements Only as required for face‑to‑face meetings or gatherings. Less than 5%.
