Federal Work Study - Library Circulation Student Assistant
Location: UWG Recruiting Location
Employment Type: Temporary, Part-Time
Job Summary
This position assists the Circulation Department in Ingram Library. It provides customer service to library users during all operating hours (morning, afternoon, and evening shifts).
Responsibilities
Checking materials in and out
Providing information about library policies to users
Processing items from other USG schools
Shelving items
Research support, data gathering, and other library related projects
Required Qualifications
Active University of West Georgia student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
Completed coursework equivalent to Sophomore standing and a 2.5 cumulative GPA
Availability for shifts in morning, afternoon, and evening (schedule will accommodate school schedule)
Coverage needed for all hours that the library is open
Basic computer skills and comfort working on a computer
Some customer service experience expected
Preferred Qualifications
Previous library experience
Extensive customer service experience or training
Schedule flexibility
