This position provides virtual and face-to-face tutorial assistance to students in specific subject areas and under the direction of the Specialist and/or Coordinator of the Writing Center, ensuring that the appropriate level of service is provided to students. Responsibilities Tutor students in Writing for specific English content course(s) or courses with a major Writing component, and/or study skills Guide and support student use of campus resources, technology, and appropriate study habits, conduct workshops Provide in class support, create resources to upload to service area Canvas course(s) Meet with Tutoring Resources staff to ensure an appropriate level of services are offered Maintain and update the tutoring session logs, completing Conference Summaries as assigned Attend training sessions provided by the College Complete projects or duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to effectively manage time and schedules Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information Warm personality with strong communication skills with customers of diverse backgrounds Excellent customer service skills Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 #J-18808-Ljbffr
