Needham & Company, a full‑service investment bank and asset management firm, is hiring a Marketing Associate in its New York office for a role that supports Needham Funds’ marketing, communications, and advisor engagement initiatives. The position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of the firm and ultimately may develop into a leadership role guiding the overall marketing strategy of Needham Funds.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in mutual funds, ETFs, or other investment products and is passionate about connecting advisors and investors with Needham Funds.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Content Distribution
Plan and execute multi‑channel marketing campaigns (email, digital, social, webinars) aligned with fund priorities and sales goals.
Build and distribute fund materials—fact sheets, commentaries, updates—in collaboration with compliance and portfolio managers.
Track engagement metrics and fund flow trends to identify new opportunities and refine Needham’s positioning.
Advisor & Client Engagement
Prepare and deliver tailored presentations, performance materials, and client deliverables for advisors and institutions.
Coordinate logistics and follow‑up for webinars, conferences, and advisor meetings.
Communications & Reporting
Draft, edit, and proofread marketing collateral and fund updates for accuracy, compliance, and brand consistency.
Compile analytics to provide actionable insights to marketing and distribution leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of marketing or client service work experience within mutual funds, ETFs, or asset management.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience managing marketing campaigns and content for financial advisors and intermediaries.
A collaborative and proactive mindset with a passion for data‑driven marketing and advisor engagement.
Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
Demonstrated project management and organizational ability, with the capacity to manage multiple deliverables in a deadline‑driven environment.
General understanding of FINRA and SEC rules and regulations regarding marketing is a plus.
The good‑faith expected salary range for this position is $100,000- $125,000, dependent on experience, skills, license registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This range does not include other elements of total compensation, including discretionary bonuses and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company‑matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; flexible spending; commuter benefits; and paid time‑off plan.
