Summary of Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses in Art & Design across foundational to advanced levels, preparing course outlines, syllabi, exams, and instructional materials.
Instruct, manage, and supervise individuals and groups in the classroom and studio using demonstrations, discussions, visual and audio aids, video conference, and community engagement.
Evaluate instruction and learning through written, oral, practical, and performance assessments.
Maintain accurate student‑grade and attendance records.
Establish and maintain office hours and advise students; collaborate with department stakeholders on curriculum development.
Engage in scholarly and creative activities, producing research and scholarship consistent with department objectives.
Contribute to departmental, school, and university committees and initiatives; perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
MFA in visual art/design or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
College‑level teaching experience.
Demonstrated ability to teach a broad range of media and conceptual approaches.
Experience mentoring diverse student populations.
Administrative or leadership experience in academic settings.
