Position Information Title: Math Tutor (Davis Tutoring and Writing Center) Requisition: H01582P Category: Hourly/Work Study Campus: Weber State Davis - Layton, UT Hours per week: 7–20 Months per year: Alternate work schedule Pay Grade: Salary Hourly Pay Rate $14.50 Job Summary Tutor WSU students in Math at the Davis Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department. Tutoring is done on a drop‑in basis, with availability for shifts determined by the tutor. The position requires and provides training in tutoring techniques. Responsibilities This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified. Required Qualifications Must be a WSU student. Faculty recommendation or endorsement. Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor. Strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring. Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Ability to tutor many different courses.
