Role Description
This is a contract-based, hybrid role for a Social Media Manager located in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for remote work. The Social Media Manager will drive the daily operations of our social platforms—planning, creating, scheduling, and publishing content across multiple channels. This role includes leading social strategy implementation, optimizing performance, strengthening audience engagement, monitoring trends and analytics, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure social media aligns with broader marketing and brand objectives. Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and optimize daily/weekly content plans Create platform-specific content (captions, visuals direction, scheduling) Manage social calendars across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube Track analytics and extract insights for continuous improvement Respond to community interactions and elevate brand voice Collaborate with marketing, creative, and leadership teams Monitor industry trends, audio trends, and algorithm updates Prepare weekly performance reports Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) Strong skills in communication, writing, and content ideation Experience developing content strategies and executing multi-platform campaigns Strong analytical ability with experience using social insights tools Familiarity with major social management platforms (e.g., Later, Hootsuite, Metricool, Sprout) Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a hybrid workflow Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field is plus Seniority level
