Research activity focuses on projects at the urban, architectural and construction scales. It addresses methodological, analytical and compositional aspects applied to new settlements, areas undergoing transformation and the reconstruction of urban spaces. Central themes include the redevelopment of uncertain, peripheral, shapeless or abandoned urban areas, considering possible transformations to be defined in relation to their history, identity, role in the city and the enhancement of existing heritage.Research and teaching activities are part of the Department's strategic research lines relating to the quality of the built environment and the enhancement of cultural heritage.The results will be disseminated through conferences and workshops and published in scientific journals and essays with national and international circulation. Italian or foreign applicants, who have a PhD or equivalent qualification, obtained in Italy or abroad are admitted to selection process. In addition, in the past 5 years, they must have authored, co-authored, or edited a number of publications, accepted texts, essays included in collections, and articles published in print or digital journals equal to or exceeding the minimum required number of 10, excluding internal notes or departmental reports.
