Technical Podcast Producer for @UnlearnedWisdom Podcast
Core of the Heart, Los Angeles, California, United States, 90079
Our Mission:
To create a global community that teaches people how to live a true spiritual life, helping them deepen their relationship with God and grow spiritually. Who You Are:
You are Mission-Driven:
You are genuinely excited to be part of our mission and understand how your technical excellence directly contributes to helping our community get closer to God.
You are a Systems Builder:
You are ‘systems and processes’ oriented and know how to lead teams and execute flawlessly within those processes.
You are a Proactive Problem-Solver:
You remain calm and can effectively troubleshoot any technical problem under pressure. You don't wait for issues; you prevent them.
You are Obsessed with Details:
You are extremely organized, able to multi-task efficiently, and follow checklists to the letter. You believe in 0 instances of error.
You are a Creative Strategist:
You have a creative mind and are excited by the opportunity to come up with new ideas that can be implemented to help grow the podcast.
Your Role:
As our Technical Podcast Producer, you’re not just producing a podcast - you’re engineering a movement. You are the technical anchor of our recording sessions, responsible for ensuring every technical detail is flawlessly executed so our hosts and guests can focus completely on creating great content. You will work directly with our team to set up, record, and package every episode for our post-production team. You’ll handle project management across our post-production work, like overseeing that each stage of editing is moving along amongst the post-production team. You will be responsible for the entire in-studio production process, from pre-production to asset handoff, to ensuring that the episodes are getting fully edited & produced for their release dates. Constant growth in our content's quality, technical execution, and meeting deadlines is what you’ll be measured by. Location:
Must live in Los Angeles, CA or be able to easily commute 2-3 days per week. What You’ll Do:
Own the entire in-studio technical production, managing all gear, recording, and livestreaming for two (and potentially three) shows per week. Lead the execution of all asset handoffs, ensuring 100% of footage and project assets are perfectly organized and delivered to the post-production team within 10 hours of recording. Project manage the entire. Constantly find new ways to improve performance, analyzing viewer retention, tracking growth metrics, and proposing new growth experiments to help grow the podcast. What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days):
Objective 1:
Achieve 100% flawless technical execution for all recording sessions and the release of all the content. Key Result:
1.) Achieve 0 instances of lost footage, corrupted audio, or other technical failures due to setup or operational error. 2.) Ensure 100% of new footage and project assets are organized and delivered to the post-production team within 10 hours of recording completion. 3.) Ensure 100% perfect post-production / publishing of all our episodes. Objective 2:
Drive audience growth through performance analysis and strategy. Key Results:
1.) Propose and implement 1 new optimization (e.g., set design, pacing) with the goal of increasing average viewer retention on long‑form episodes by 10% within 6 months. 2.) Track how each episode contributes to leads generated via CTAs and show notes, and manage analytics to help drive growth. 3.) Propose and execute 1 growth experiment (e.g., a new segment idea, thumbnail experiment, new short‑form series). Your Core Responsibilities (These should be A-Player outcomes, not just tasks):
In-Studio Production: Own the end-to-end in-studio setup (multi-cam, audio, lighting) for all podcast and livestream recordings.
Recording & Livestream Management: Flawlessly manage the ATEM Mini Pro ISO and RØDECaster Pro II during all sessions, ensuring all files are captured.
Asset Handoff: Own the real-time timestamping, creation of editing notes, and rapid handoff of all assets to the post-production team.
Post-Production Coordination: Serve as the technical liaison for editors and project managers, ensuring all assets are correct and available.
Long-Form Quality Control: Own the final sign‑off, guaranteeing the edit is a perfect execution of the production blueprint and meets our creative standard.
Short-Form Quality Control: Uphold our standard of excellence by owning the final quality assurance, ensuring every caption is grammatically perfect and error‑free.
Strategic Content Optimization: Pull performance data weekly, propose 1 change/month to improve hook retention or engagement curve.
Our Core Values:
God Above All else:
You’re keen on growing spiritually. The Gospel and God guide every business decision, ensuring that all actions progress the Kingdom.
200% Accountability:
OVER COMMUNICATE. Every team member must complete their commitments or communicate proactively. If there ever is the lingering thought that something isn't getting done, it means you or your team isn’t communicating enough.
Sense of Urgency:
You move with purpose and speed without sacrificing quality. You don't wait for perfect conditions, you take action, iterate, and improve along the way. When opportunities arise or problems surface, you address them immediately rather than putting them off. Time is precious, and you treat it that way in everything you do.
Come with solutions, not problems:
You were placed in your role because we believe you can run it best. Be a leader and use every resource and tool available to you to get things done. Create solutions to problems, instead of asking for constant help.
Attention To Detail:
You’re obsessive and pay attention to the little things. Greatness comes from consistency compounded over time. You like turning over every stone when it comes to learning or problem solving. You’re always 2 steps ahead.
Non-negotiable Requirements (Skills & Experience):
Must be based in Los Angeles and able to work in-person at our studio.
Has a strong portfolio of past podcast production work.
Deep experience setting up and operating multi‑camera video shoots (specifically with Sony A7siii’s or similar).

Proven expertise with podcast audio equipment (mixers, microphones) and hardware (ATEM Mini Pro ISO, RØDECaster Pro II).
Experience with content strategy and analyzing YouTube performance data.

Software: Adobe Premiere
Project Management: Notion, ClickUp (or similar like Asana)
Platforms: YouTube Studio Analytics, TikTok & Instagram Reels
Utilities: Google Drive, Basic Server File Management, Rev.ai/Whisper
This Role Is NOT For You If:
You are concerned about when work ends.
You need lots of hand-holding & are bad at time management.
You are not great at communicating across a team.
You have never done this role before and think you can accomplish this based on “work ethic” or “similar experience.”
You prefer comfort over growth (we all work extremely hard).
Compensation:
