Archinect
Tomaro Architecture is seeking a highly motivated Architectural Designer to join our growing team in our Manhattan Beach studio.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and coordination of technical drawings through all phases of design — from schematic design, design development, and construction documents — while maintaining firm standards for quality and project delivery. This role supports the Project Architect, participates in both internal and external design reviews, and contributes to the successful execution of high-end residential and commercial projects.
Please note this is a full-time on-site position in our Manhattan Beach studio. Remote candidates will not be considered.
What You’ll Do:
Produce and coordinate precise, code-compliant technical drawings and details.
Support the Project Architect; participate in internal/external design reviews.
Coordinate with consultants and clients; track decisions and follow through.
How We Work:
Thorough self-review:
You meticulously check your own drawings for errors, omissions, legibility, and alignment with standards before sharing with the team.
Ask early, ask often:
If you’re unsure how to proceed, you proactively ask questions seeking clarity before committing time, and documenting the answers.
Own the quality:
You respond to redlines thoughtfully, verify corrections, and prevent repeat errors.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years relevant professional experience
Professional degree in Architecture or related field
Professional Revit experience
Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills
Highly motivated; able to work independently and within interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and submittal requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
High end residential and/or Commercial experience
Familiarity with:
AutoCAD
Sketchup
Enscape
Bluebeam
Adobe Creative Suite
Salary to be commensurate with experience.
If you are passionate about design excellence and looking to grow within a creative and collaborative firm, we’d love to hear from you.
