Librarian-FT Job at Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County in Edmond

Summary Under general direction, this position performs a variety of professional librarian duties including providing information and assistance to customers of all ages; planning, scheduling, and presenting programs and/or services; performing reference, readers’ advisory services and bibliographic instruction; building relationships with community organizations; providing technology instruction; engaging in civic participation. This position will assist guests of all ages but will have a specific emphasis on adult programming. The position will be assigned to the Edmond Library at 10 S. Boulevard in Edmond, OK. Working Hours and Salary Hiring salary: $51,001.60 annually. Full-time position working 40 hours per week. Exempt from the FLSA. Candidate must be available during library open hours including some weekends and evenings. Specific hours: Monday and Tuesday 8:00–5:00 pm; Wednesday 12:00–9:00 pm; Thursday 8:00–5:00 pm; Friday 9:00–6:00 pm; rotating Saturday shift. Hours may change as library needs.
