Wireless RF Technician I – Juneau, Alaska Insight Global is seeking a Wireless RF Technician I to join our client’s team in Juneau, Alaska. The role requires traveling throughout Alaska and is responsible for installing, testing, and performing operational site acceptance for wireless equipment. Responsibilities Install, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain RF transmission lines, antennas, and related equipment such as microwave systems, tower radios, fiber cabling, and lighting systems. Provide remote technical support via phone, CLI, and ticketing tools, and operate test equipment for corrective tasks on towers, antennas, cabling, and grounding systems. Support RF engineering and optimization projects through pre‑ and post‑adjustments and statistical analysis. Conduct site audits, maintain logs, update cell site and tower information, and ensure compliance with FAA, FCC, and company standards. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Associate’s Degree in electronics, telecommunications trade school, or equivalent training. 2 years of experience in field operations telecommunications industry or 4 years without a degree. Minimum of 1 year in wireless telecommunications, wireless site construction, or related field. Must be able to obtain and maintain tower climber certification upon hire. Experience with Linux, Unix, Cisco IOS, command line interface, Secure Shell, and File Transfer Protocol. Knowledge of RF propagation principles and concepts such as UMTS/HSPA, CDMA/EVDO, LTE, and microwave. Compensation Base pay range: $54,080.00/yr – $68,640.00/yr. Hourly rate: $26/hr – $33/hr.
