About The Role This is a drafting-focused role, ideal for someone with AutoCAD experience or who wants to learn, who enjoys technical design work and wants to learn lighting layout tools like AGi32. You’ll support the sales team by turning site information, notes, and measurements into professional drawings, photometric plans, and proposal packages. This role does not require an engineering degree. If you have drafting experience and strong attention to detail, we can train you on the lighting-specific software.
Responsibilities Drafting & Layouts
Create lighting layouts, photometric designs, and renderings using AGi32, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
Draft pole layouts, fixture placements, and site-specific drawings based on sales input.
Proposal Package Creation
Compile proposal documents that include photometric layouts, fixture schedules, and bill of materials.
Ensure all drawings and documents follow company standards and are accurate for customer review.
Documentation & Data Entry
Maintain up-to-date product files, templates, and design libraries.
Enter project details, specs, and BOM information into Salesforce (training provided).
Team Collaboration
Support the sales team with quick-turn layouts and clean, professional design documents.
Occasionally assist with site measurements or project reviews (minimal travel).
Qualifications
Drafting Experience: AutoCAD or similar experience preferred.
Ability to Learn Software: Comfortable learning AGi32 or other lighting design programs.
Detail-Oriented Approach: Strong accuracy and organization in all drawings.
Technical Mindset: Able to read site plans, measurements, and basic technical details.
Communication Skills: Capable of preparing clean design documents and communicating clearly with sales.
Team Player: Enjoys supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
On-Site Requirement: Role is based in Boise for close collaboration with sales and leadership.
Compensation & Perks
Salary Range: $50,000–$55,000
