**Position Title:**Adjunct Faculty- Music Instructor895.00 USD HourlyHourly - Hourly (W/Minimum Wage), 895.00 USD Hourly**Campus:**East Peoria Campus**Employment Type:**Adjunct Faculty, FacultyPart time**Department:**Arts & Behavioral Sciences (JM - Faculty)**Start Date:**12/31/2025**Job Description:****Summary**Adjunct faculty in music provide instruction in an applied area of study and/or classroom courses.Adjunct Faculty are primarily responsible for instructing assigned courses meeting classroom standards. The Adjunct Faculty must follow institutional syllabi. Additionally, Adjunct Faculty will be required to maintain office hours to best ensure student success. Adjunct Faculty teach on a part time basis up to 12 contact hours per semester.For information on compensation please click the link below.**Essential Functions**This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Instruct and coordinate courses including lecture and/or lab-based classes ensuring all necessary materials and tools are readily available and that safety standards are met, when appropriate.

Follow syllabi for assigned courses communicating the expectations and schedule for the classwork.
3.
Maintain office hours and availability.
4.
Communicate with students working to ensure student success.
5.
Collaborate with Faculty and Staff to continuously improve and adapt the student experience to meet the needs of the student, community and institution.
6.
Perform related duties as required.**Minimum Qualifications**The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.1.
Master’s degree in music (performance, music education, etc.); OR Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in music.
2.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
3.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4.
Strong multi-tasking skills and decision-making skills.
5.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.**Preferred Qualifications**1.
Experience teaching music privately or in a classroom setting.
2.
