Want to design and improve Fort Wayne's water systems while working part-time?
Position:
Designer I & II - PT Water
Pay:
Designer I: $29.27 - $37.00/hr | Designer II: $32.20 - $40.00/hr
Schedule:
Up to 29 hours per week (varies)
Location:
City Utilities Engineering, Fort Wayne, IN
What You'll Do:
Collect, analyze, and verify project data for water system improvements
Draft construction plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software
Assist with planning, design, and construction engineering projects under supervision
Manage project documentation and PMIS records, including permits and easement acquisition
Coordinate with City staff and Capital Project Services to resolve project issues
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Knowledge of hydraulics, hydrology, and engineering design principles
Strong computer skills, including drafting and spreadsheet software
Valid Indiana Driver's License
