JOB SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and delivering visually compelling designs that align with client brands and meet the agency's high standards of excellence. This role supports all design needs across BAP Agency projects, from brand development and promotional materials to digital and print production, while ensuring that every design reflects the client's vision and strategic objectives.
Working under the direction of the President, the Graphic Designer collaborates with team members to produce high-quality creative work that unites visual and written messaging into cohesive, professional, and impactful designs. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented designer with technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent professional experience in graphic design or creative production will be considered.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience preferred.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Experience with Canva acceptable but not required.
- Experience designing for both print and digital formats (marketing collateral, packaging, social media, etc.).
- Website and/or trade show booth design experience a plus.
- Must submit a design portfolio demonstrating a range of professional work to be considered for this position.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Must know Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
- Must know Word and PowerPoint for corporate document and presentation design.
- Experience with Asana and AirTable preferred.
- Photo and video editing knowledge a plus.
- Strong understanding of brand design, color theory, layout, and typography.
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality control.
- Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate design ideas clearly.
- Must be creative, flexible, and willing to learn and adapt as design needs evolve.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create visual designs for a wide range of projects including ads, packaging, documents, booklets, presentations, and more.
- Develop and refine brand identities, including logos, typography, and color palettes, and produce comprehensive brand guides.
- Prepare vector artwork for promotional items, corporate apparel, and other client materials.
- Produce virtual proofs for promotional items and apparel to ensure client approval prior to production.
- Set up all files for print production, ensuring proper color, bleeds, resolution, and file formats.
- Design layouts for marketing collateral, trade show materials, digital campaigns, and corporate communications.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure that all visual and written messaging align with client brand standards.
- Assist with photo and video editing tasks to enhance creative assets.
- Coordinate with vendors and the Print Production Team to ensure all deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
- Audit major client accounts for visual consistency and brand alignment; provide notes and recommendations as needed.
- Support web design projects as needed and collaborate with the Web Developer and Creative Team to ensure brand consistency across digital platforms.
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies to continually enhance creative output and efficiency.
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work is on a hybrid schedule with up to two days remote and three days in office.
- Must be able to focus for extended periods while working on detailed design tasks.
- Occasional collaboration or meetings at the BAP Agency office may be required.
