Harriman is growing! We are looking for a
Senior Architectural Designer
to join our PK-12 studio, part of a full-service practice that values work‑life balance, teamwork, and independent hybrid work. This role works closely with our integrated engineering group to produce innovative, collaborative design solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for technical design aspects of major projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions.
Provide architectural consultation during planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects.
Independently apply advanced architectural concepts and design techniques.
Develop new or improved methods for complex assignments and provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.
All work reviewed by supervising licensed architect, who provides technical guidance.
Requirements
5+ years as an architectural designer.
2‑year professional degree in architecture (or related field) from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge of building construction details and materials.
Fluent in English oral and written communication.
Experience in all stages of project delivery: conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, consultant coordination, client interaction, and construction administration.
Working knowledge of building, accessibility, and life safety codes.
Collaborative team player with strong work ethic.
LEED Accredited Professional (AP) desired.
