IAV is seeking motivated team members for our Mexico office to design fuel supply systems for hybrid and gasoline vehicles.
Candidate must be a resident in nearby Puebla, Mexico.
Responsibilities include developing new and existing components, conducting packaging studies, and providing series support in close collaboration with customers and suppliers.
You will work independently while coordinating with our experienced team in Germany via remote communication. A structured onboarding program, supported by a German colleague, ensures you are fully prepared to manage tasks autonomously.
Essential Responsibilities & activities:
Development of components for fuel supply systems (for Hybrid)
Investigation of the components in the vehicle environment
Transfer the component specification (RFQ) to the component design proposal
Creation and modification of components to meet specification (CAD work)
Preparation of technical documentation (drawings, assembly instructions, updating of specification, technical presentation, parts list)
Participation in technical meetings and derivation of necessary technical tasks
Tracking and adhering to schedules
Check & release of supplier documentation (3D, drawings, quality reports, release documents)
Coordination with component suppliers and handle deviation permission
Active processing of the approval processes at the customers (evaluation of technical changes, collection of necessary technical documentation, presentation to decision boards, communication of the decisions to all partners and updating all systems/data bases)
Conduct meetings and communicate results to all stakeholders, partners.
May require domestic or international travel, as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related Engineering fields
PhD is desirable but not required
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in automotive powertrain design or related roles
Experience in developing mechanical systems, focus on fuel systems development
Knowledge of Hybrid fuel systems is ideal
Experience in the development of plastic components
• Experience in investigation of the components in the vehicle environment
Required CAD knowledge of CATIA V5
Required experience in automotive 3D design
Required knowledge of fuel storage systems
Knowledge of hybrid Fuel systems
Knowledge of the development and release process (DVP)
Ability to create compact and meaningful presentations about design status and recommend further actions (Microsoft Suites)
Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills in English (level B2), German speaking is a plus.
