This role supports the Director of Store Design and related teams by assisting with design projects in store, managing data entry, coordinating projects, and assisting with accessory purchasing. The position requires the ability to travel to stores in the local market and some stores across the state of WI.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Director of Store Design with daily project coordination, scheduling, and documentation to ensure department initiatives and timelines stay on track.
Maintain organized records of product line‑ups, design plans, and merchandising directives, ensuring updates are accurately communicated to the Visual team and relevant departments.
Track incoming products, transfers, and floor changes, proactively identifying gaps or delays that could affect showroom readiness.
Partner with the Visual Merchandising team to confirm all advertised products are displayed on the floor prior to ad drops.
Assist in creating, distributing, and verifying ad tags across all store locations to ensure consistency and compliance with company standards.
Assist in tracking and maintaining the visual budget, ensuring timely ordering of promotional décor, paint, and display materials in alignment with project timelines.
Collaborate with the Director of Store Design to plan, install, and refresh showroom layouts, displays, and signage that align with company visual standards and seasonal launches.
Provide visual support and coverage as needed, including during floor resets, store visits, major projects, or high‑priority promotional events.
Support the Visual team by ensuring accurate placement of furniture and accessories according to design plans and merchandising line‑ups, while assisting in the creation of cohesive, trend‑forward vignettes that reflect brand identity and enhance the customer experience.
Ensure showroom spaces remain organized, visually appealing, and up to date with current product assortments.
Monitor and manage key merchandising and product reports, including discontinued lists, sold floor inventory, and product transfers.
Coordinate with the Warehouse, Purchasing, and Visual teams to maintain accurate and timely product flow between the Distribution Center and the showroom.
Assist with tagging and labeling merchandise according to company standards to ensure pricing accuracy and visual consistency.
Create and process purchase orders and product transfers for accessories.
Communicate with third‑party accessory vendors regarding damages, shortages, and order discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.
Update promotional pricing in the system to reflect current campaigns and offers.
Order tagging supplies and POP (Point of Purchase) materials to support showroom and promotional needs.
Assist in monitoring accessory inventory and maintaining accurate stock levels.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong willingness to learn new software systems; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
Excellent communication skills for vendor and internal team interactions.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Willingness to travel for showroom installations and store openings/remodels and design projects as needed.
