We are recruiting a detail-oriented and collaborative
Communications Specialist
for a regional retail financial institution. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the banking communications team by developing and updating procedures, ad hoc internal communications and department intranet pages. The ideal candidate will have banking or credit union business writing or communications experience, DataSafe, SharePoint and Lighthouse experience.
Pay: $40.00/Hour. 6-month Contract (potential for hire) Hours: 7.30am - 4pm, M-F | Hybrid (Mon, Tues, Wed onsite) Location: Sacramento PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops, updates, and maintains clear and accurate procedures based on business needs, project deliverables, and internal requests Conducts research and collaborates with subject matter experts to gather background information and ensure content accuracy Translates complex technical processes into accessible language for diverse audiences and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations Administers and updates content within the knowledge management system, supporting procedure implementation and document distribution Supports internal communications by preparing and formatting weekly updates, attending meetings, and coordinating with project teams Maintains internal platforms such as SharePoint, responds to inquiries, and assists with audits, marketing campaigns, and other cross-functional initiatives SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Writing, or a related field strongly preferred Minimum two years of experience writing procedures, plus two years of banking experience Familiarity with financial products, services, and operational procedures within a banking environment Experience using business systems and software Strong writing, communication, organization, and time management skills; ability to create user-friendly documentation Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; capable of supporting member relations and cross-functional collaboration
