Job Summary:
Client is seeking a Mechanical Design Manager with significant project management experience in HVAC and plumbing to oversee the development and implementation of design standards across diverse building programs. This role requires acting as the primary liaison among client's internal design teams, external design partners, and contractors to promote design uniformity and project efficiency. The successful candidate will excel in a fast-paced, multiple-project environment, demonstrating a strong capacity for prioritizing crucial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple MEP projects, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and quality-compliant completion. Develop detailed project plans involving schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Provide technical guidance on MEP systems, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Lead a team of MEP engineers and project managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work atmosphere. Establish and maintain quality control processes for MEP installations, conducting regular site inspections to uphold standards.
Must-Have Skills:
Advanced proficiency in project management relating to MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering projects. Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools and coordination. Strong leadership skills with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
Industry Experience Required:
Prior experience in managing complex commercial projects, particularly in industrial or manufacturing facilities, is highly desirable.
