Want to create with a team that moves fast and values creative vision? BuildPurdue is Purdue University's up and coming startup community, and we need a videographer to capture our story through high-quality event coverage, podcast filming, and cinematic promo content (think buildspace/Founders Inc style).

What you'll do:

  • Capture compelling video content 1-2x per week at events, podcasts, and promotional shoots
  • Operate professional camera equipment and execute creative lighting setups
  • Bring visual storytelling to life through dynamic angles and cinematic composition
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to create content that aligns with our brand and community goals

Qualifications

  • Technical experience with video production and camera operation
  • Understanding of lighting techniques and visual composition
  • Ability to shoot in both controlled and dynamic on‑site environments
  • Strong creative vision and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Video editing and scripting skills are a bonus, but not required
  • Passion for storytelling and building community
