FuelWarden is a fast-moving, athlete-founded startup building an AI-powered nutrition platform designed by athletes, for athletes. We’re forging the future of performance by blending cutting-edge technology with elite-level training and nutrition. We’re seeking a UI/UX Designer to help elevate and optimize the FuelWarden mobile experienc e. You’ll work closely with the founding team to create intuitive, sleek, and performance-driven designs that support our mission of helping athletes fuel smarter. From wireframes to polished prototypes, you’ll lead the product design process to make FuelWarden functional and engaging. What You’ll Do Own the end-to-end UI/UX design process for the FuelWarden mobile app Collaborate with the founding team to translate product ideas into user-centric designs Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using platforms like Figma Conduct user research and usability testing Design intuitive, engaging user flows that improve onboarding, nutrition tracking, and feature engagement Ensure a consistent visual language and interaction model across all user touch-points Work with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately Stay current with trends in mobile UX, wellness apps, and athlete-first product experiences Help shape the visual identity of FuelWarden as we grow from MVP to full-scale product What We’re Looking For Proven experience designing mobile apps (iOS and/or Android preferred) Strong proficiency in Figma and other design/prototyping tools Solid understanding of UX best practices, interaction design, and user research A strong portfolio showcasing mobile-first design work (especially health, fitness, or lifestyle products is a plus). Creative thinker with an eye for detail and a love for clean, modern UI Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment Self-starter mindset, comfortable leading projects and taking initiative Passion for fitness, health, or wellness —ideally with a personal connection to athletics or training Based in or near Phoenix, AZ is a plus (but not required) Commitment & Growth Flexible: Full-time, part-time, or contractor Remote-friendly , with a hybrid option if based near Phoenix, AZ Paid (compensation discussed individually) Clear path to Senior Product Designer or Head of Design as the company scales Work directly with founders and help shape the user experience of a company from the ground up Why Join FuelWarden?
