Date Available: 09/30/2025 Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated School Drama/Musical Theatre Coach to lead our afterschool co-curricular musical theatre program for students in upper elementary and middle school. The coach will inspire students through music and theater, helping them develop creativity, confidence, teamwork, and performance skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
Responsibilities Plan and lead afterschool drama sessions. Direct rehearsals and prepare students for a musical performance. Create a positive and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to take risks and express themselves. Teach foundational theater skills such as voice, movement, character development, and stagecraft. Collaborate with school staff to schedule and organize the production. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues regarding program goals and expectations. Qualifications
Experience in theater, drama education, or directing student performances. Passion for working with upper elementary and middle school students while fostering their personal and artistic growth. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Prior teaching, coaching, or youth leadership experience preferred. Schedule
Afterschool hours- (days of the week TBD). Program runs during the school year, with performance in the spring.
