The School Of Nursing seeks a highly skilled Multimedia And User Services Specialist to join our innovative team. This role is critical in supporting our distance education programs and ensuring faculty and students have access to high-quality media and audio-visual resources. You will manage multimedia studio operations, assist faculty with recordings, and provide technical expertise for classroom and conference room AV systems. Essential Duties: Advanced AV Services: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio-video distribution systems for distance education programs. Maintain multimedia recording studio operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and user assistance. Video Production Leadership: Plan, shoot, and edit video productions for educational, clinical, and research purposes. Oversee contractors and ensure all deliverables meet organizational quality standards. Technology Implementation: Serve as lead implementer for AV systems in classrooms and conference rooms. Configure and maintain AV hardware and software. Software Administration: Manage all software related to distance education programs, ensuring smooth operation and integration. Teleconferencing Support: Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot web-based teleconferencing systems for live sessions. Customer Engagement: Provide responsive technical support for classrooms and remote sites. Monitor SON-IT support line and ticket system to ensure timely resolution. Security Compliance: Develop and maintain System Security, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery Plans. Validate access controls and audit logs for HIPAA compliance. Collaboration: Work with University departments (OIT, DHTS) to align educational media services with enterprise standards. Reporting: Prepare monthly status reports detailing progress on all job expectations. Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Educational Media, Instructional Design, or related field (Master's preferred). Experience: Minimum one year in an AV academic environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills: Video production, AV media programs, desktop/mobile recording, editing, and conversion. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Extron and Crestron systems. Advanced video production and project management skills. Other Requirements: Onsite position. Occasional backup support for remote sites. Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $59,829.00 to USD $104,550.00.
