Join Our Team The Rawlins Police Department is looking for individuals with prior emergency communications experience to work in our Communications Center on a temporary part-time basis. Working an average of not more than 30 hours per week.
We will offer a competitive wage for the qualified candidate.
This position is temporary and will not offer overtime or benefits.
Job Duties
Provide support to public safety by analyzing and transmitting appropriate information to law enforcement, fire, ambulance, and other personnel.
Answer 911 and non-emergent lines and dispatch appropriate agency.
Record calls and activities.
Maintain records of cases and activities.
Maintain confidential information.
Interview callers to determine their needs.
Operate NCIC/NLETS computer terminal and auxiliary equipment, pagers, computers, and a wide variety of office equipment.
Provide general assistance to the public in preparing complaints and reports and providing information.
Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations.
Requirements
Prior experience is required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or evidence of an equivalent achievement.
U.S. citizen.
Strong moral character.
No felony or domestic violence convictions.
Salary: To be determined.
