Responsibilities:

  • Research community needs and how agency can help fill community needs with funding.
  • Enter and monitor data to maintain list of new grant opportunities, constantly ensuring information is up to date.
  • Prepare grant proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, incorporating feedback, and obtaining approvals
  • Meet proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering writing, review, approval, and transmittal.
  • Build and enhance our existing grants and funding database that support the organizations’ vision and programs.
  • Draft letters of inquiry for identified funding matches.
  • Create and maintain relationships with community resources, referrals sources, agencies, associations, local and state government, and federal resources.
  • Coordinate, organize, and manage the grant submission timeline as well as follow-up with funders for grant submission denials.
  • Write, revise, proofread, and edit drafts including executive summaries, funding proposals, conclusions, and organization credentials

Requirements:

  • B.A or equivalent or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program focusing on non-profit management, social sciences, or similar field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong computer skills are preferred
  • Must be professional, mature and able to work alone or as part of team
  • Experience in research & writing proposals, preferably with grant writing but other transferable experience is also considered

  • Available to work remotely or onsite with a flexible schedule, 10-15 hours per week
