Responsibilities:
Research community needs and how agency can help fill community needs with funding.
Enter and monitor data to maintain list of new grant opportunities, constantly ensuring information is up to date.
Prepare grant proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, incorporating feedback, and obtaining approvals
Meet proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering writing, review, approval, and transmittal.
Build and enhance our existing grants and funding database that support the organizations’ vision and programs.
Draft letters of inquiry for identified funding matches.
Create and maintain relationships with community resources, referrals sources, agencies, associations, local and state government, and federal resources.
Coordinate, organize, and manage the grant submission timeline as well as follow-up with funders for grant submission denials.
Write, revise, proofread, and edit drafts including executive summaries, funding proposals, conclusions, and organization credentials
Requirements:
B.A or equivalent or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program focusing on non-profit management, social sciences, or similar field
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong computer skills are preferred
Must be professional, mature and able to work alone or as part of team
Experience in research & writing proposals, preferably with grant writing but other transferable experience is also considered
