The Administrative Law Research Librarian is responsible for managing and advancing the organization's legal research resources, ensuring accessibility, accuracy, and alignment with current and future legal information needs. This role supports the development and maintenance of policies, programs, and systems that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of legal research activities across the organization.
Key responsibilities include assisting senior management in defining current and long-range objectives for library services, formulating and implementing administrative policies and procedures related to the online law library index, and introducing new reference programs that strengthen legal research capabilities. The librarian plans, directs, and coordinates the proper disposal and replacement of surplus or outdated legal materials to maintain the integrity and relevance of the library's collection.
Additionally, the Administrative Law Research Librarian provides training and guidance to legal staff on the effective use of library resources, research tools, and equipment, ensuring that users can efficiently locate and apply relevant legal information. The position requires a blend of research expertise, operational management, and strong communication skills to support a dynamic, knowledge-driven legal environment
Requirements
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
One (1) year of experience filing legal documents or assisting in the operation of a law library.
