SFUSD offers a competitive salary of $69,525-$131,654/annually commensurate with experience in a similar position. As the Librarian Teacher, you will:
- Supplement classroom instruction
- Help and instruct pupils in the choice and use of library materials
- Plan and coordinate school library programs with the instructional programs of the school district
- Select materials for school libraries
- Conduct a planned course of instruction for those pupils who assist in the operation of school libraries
- Knowledge of San Francisco's public schools/urban public schools and a passionate belief in SFUSD's commitment to instructional leadership as a lever toward delivering on the SFUSD Graduate Profile
- Outstanding organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with senior level district staff and colleagues
- Effective written and verbal communication and the ability to clearly communicate complex, bureaucratic processes to a variety of audiences
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and G-Suite (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms)
- Ability to: maintain confidentiality in dealing with students, parents and faculty and with the appropriate records; be sensitive to the needs of young people; deal politely with members of the public knowledge of rules, regulations, procedures and policies of public schools and school districts
- Holds or qualifies to hold a California Library Media Teacher Services Credential
- Environment: A library environment
- Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time
- Light to moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds)
- Reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing, bending, walking, writing on blackboard, and keyboarding
