Summary/Objective

Video Inspectors dimensionally and visually qualify parts, through the use of dedicated measurement equipment, to documented criteria. Responsible for document ing the results in accordance with company procedures and customer demands and then package the parts for shipment if applicable. Video Inspectors are fully trained on how to program and operate applied measurement equipment.

Essential Functions

  • Read and follow documented instructions and complete company documentation to correctly complete required tasks.
  • I nterpret customer drawings including G eometric Dimension s and Toleranc es to ensure measurement programs and spreadsheets are accurate.
  • Work under direct supervision and in accordance with company i nstructions and procedures to correctly process parts.
  • Utilize software to create and run programs , using vision measuremen t systems, in accordance with the company quality system.
  • Create and utilize worksheets in Microsoft Excel for data collection and analysis.
  • Use Microsoft Outlook to send email notifications for data review.
  • Review collected data for irregularities and re-inspect parts as required.
  • Review collected data for trends and process capability and relay any find ings to engineering to find parts that could have measurements decreased or eliminated.
  • Identify and make recommendations for inspection improvement opportunities to help lower part costs and make parts quicker to process through the inspection department and the plant.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 2 nd shift: 3:30 to midnight, 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime as deemed by management and production needs . Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED .
  • Basic experience with computers. Using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Pr eferred Education and Experience
  • Experience operating measurement equipment.
  • Strong math background.

Salary Range: $17.50-$25.00/hour

This is the full salary range for the position. Most new hires can expect to start around $17.50/hour.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
