Technical Inspector

The Technical Inspector ensures finished goods meet internal quality standards and customer expectations prior to shipment. The primary role is to view the product through the lens of the customer, aiming for first-time installation success at the customer's site.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on capital equipment, thoroughly running and operating finished goods to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Evaluate the performance of capital equipment and provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to the engineering team as necessary.
  • Aid engineering by troubleshooting PLC and HMI programming as needed.
  • Record and analyze test results, compiling data for stakeholders to review.
  • Develop and implement inspection procedures and protocols to maintain consistency and efficiency in the inspection process.
  • Collaborate with other departments or external stakeholders to provide technical expertise and support for projects, initiatives, or regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Complete inspection of components as needed to determine a conformance/non-conformance status.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior inspectors or other team members, as needed.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate results.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical inspection role.
  • Experience servicing capital equipment strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using technology such as computers, software, and measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential issues or defects.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on established procedures.
  • Able to climb and work on ladders.
  • Capable of standing for an entire workday.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Programming knowledge and debugging abilities is ideal.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middleborough, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
