Job Summary

Audio Visual Technician – FirstWave, Atlanta, GA (on‑call, part‑time). We are hiring immediately for on‑call AV Technician positions. The role ensures audio‑visual requirements requested by clients are met, interfaces with various AV, communication, and presentation technologies, maintains positive customer relationships, and responds promptly to all inquiries regarding spaces or services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review customer and meeting‑planner requests from the reservation system, provide equipment/assistance as needed, and gather information from email and phone communications.
• Provide problem escalation support, issue resolution, and follow up on service challenges with the manager to implement corrective action.
• Assist with technical services for all meetings and events.
• Follow SOPs for audio‑visual support, as provided by the AV Manager and Director of Technology and Operations.
• Conduct weekly preventive maintenance sweeps of rooms and report results through the database.
• Change projectors, lamps, and cabling pieces associated with integrated systems across the portfolio.
• Review equipment operation with customers and ensure they feel comfortable using it.
• Offer assistance in equipment operation and resolve problems for customers unsure of requirements.
• Educate staff and customers on the basics of all AV equipment in the facility.
• Maintain metrics for room equipment inventory and repair/replacement records.
• Communicate with coworkers and service partners to share updated information.
• Assist with conference‑room setups and breakdowns, and any other areas where assistance is needed.
• Keep the A/V storerooms organized and well managed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year supporting audio‑visual for events.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
