Project Architect

MFDS is seeking an agile project architect (10+ years) to join our practice in Boston. Come join our office for an active and expansive role in the projects you take on, working in small teams to strategize, design, problem-solve, and execute on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Technical proficiency, especially in Revit and drawing documentation
• A proactive and balanced approach to design and project execution

Role & Responsibilities

• An active and involved role in all phases of a project
• Mentorship and oversight of junior staff
• High level design collaboration with project lead
• Research and application of municipal initiatives and zoning and building codes
• Collaborating/coordinating with project lead and project manager on design solutions, overall objectives, and critical issues
• Management and production of drawings and presentations
• Construction administration
• Internal and external communication with design team, clients, municipal agencies

Requirements

• 10+ years professional experience specifically in architecture
• Professional degree in architecture
