DCG is an award-winning, full-service engagement, digital, research, and data company with over 15 years of experience supporting the military, Veterans, and the American public. DCG strategically researches, plans, executes, and evaluates large-scale, multi-platform outreach initiatives across a wide range of mission-driven issues including human trafficking awareness, mental health stigma reduction, suicide prevention, ending homelessness, Veteran health, transportation safety, small business resources, and public diplomacy, to name a few. Additionally, our research and digital teams employ mixed methods research, Human-Centered Design (HCD), and change management principles to integrate new technologies built around well-researched user journeys.
Position Overview
DCG is seeking social media specialists to support a large-scale Defense program that supports community quality-of-life programs for active military service members, their families, and survivors worldwide. This program encompasses broad outreach and engagement initiatives, requiring experienced professionals across social media management and analysis. This outreach will include: User engagement (interactive polls, surveys, contests, giveaways, and Q&A sessions); Traffic generation (blog post teasers, event announcements, and infographics); and Awareness and education (e.g., tutorials, industry news or updates, success stories, and case studies). Along with content creation, this team will be responsible for detailed analytics and reporting that spotlights trends and performance metrics to inform social media engagement and strategy.
Note: This position is currently contingent on contract award Location
Remote; the selected candidate will work during DCG's core Eastern Standard Time business hours. Candidates located within the National Capital Region will be given preference given the possibility for ad-hoc, in-person support. Responsibilities Conduct deep UX research and user testing to understand target audience needs, behaviors, and pain points Support social media content creation and management to promote the brand and increase its visibility Develop social media communications plans, user guides, and live events support Develop various comprehensive reports on social media performance and trends across all customer social media platforms providing timely and actionable insights and innovative recommendations to optimize digital engagement strategies Leverage social listening tools to monitor and analyze customer social media platforms in real time, capturing detailed insights into public sentiment and emerging trends Identify patterns and forecast future social media trends and engagement level, enabling proactive recommendations and adjustments to social media strategies Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in related field 3+ years of relevant experience supporting social media campaigns for large organizations Keen attention to detail, including excellent copy-editing skills Preferred Qualifications Active DoD Secret Clearance Relevant training and/or certifications in social media or web analytics Professional background or personal connection to the military or Veteran community Culture at DCG
