Volunteer Videographer
About Us
Mission Action is a San Francisco-based nonprofit committed to housing, immigrant rights, and worker justice. We provide shelter, legal advocacy, and community programs to uplift our most vulnerable neighbors.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled volunteer videographer to help us tell our story and amplify our impact. This is a short-term project (4 video shoots total) with meaningful deliverables that will directly support our fundraising and outreach efforts.
Project Scope
The videographer will work with our communications and development team to plan, film, and produce the following videos:
Donor Thank You Video
- A heartfelt message from our Executive Director expressing gratitude to our supporters.
Worker Center Short Play
- Filming a short performance highlighting worker rights, created by our Worker Center members.
Attorney Interview
- Capturing an interview with one of our Deportation Defense attorneys to showcase our legal advocacy work.
Panel Livestream
- Filming and live-streaming a panel discussion hosted by Mission Action.
Responsibilities Set up and operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment. Edit raw footage into high-quality final videos suitable for web and social media.
For the livestream: manage filming and streaming setup to ensure smooth broadcast.
Time Commitment Approximately 4-6 hours per project (16-24 hours total) spread across the month of October
Flexible scheduling with staff support.
Impact Your work will directly engage donors, uplift immigrant voices, and highlight the resilience of our community. These videos will be used to inspire supporters and expand our mission.
