Job Summary:
R3 requires TOA Maintenance Support to assist NAVELSG forces in conducting system and equipment assessments and repair for non-CESE TOA, i.e. Communications equipment. Provide engineering support for identification and correction of material condition deficiencies. Assessments will include an engineering analysis of over 1,600 communications equipment (radios) to include PRC-152A, PRC-117G, PRC-160, RF9820S, RF7850 and RF-310 radios and AN/PSN-13 GPS DAGERs, various antennas, power supplies, AN PYQ 10A C, KIK 11, and assorted test equipment included in the TOA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance for over 1,600 communications equipment (radios) to include PRC-152A, PRC-117G, PRC-160, RF9820S, RF7850 and RF-310 radios and AN/PSN-13 GPS DAGERs, various antenna, power supplies, AN PYQ 10A C, KIK 11, and assorted test equipment included in the TOA. Perform general cleaning and inspection, identifying damage on all COMMS equipment and accessories, testing and replacing HUB batteries, testing of radios using the TRTS-2700 and 3515N test sets, as well as performing maintenance on COMMS Suites used in TOA vehicles/CESE. Utilize and be well versed in the use of multimeters and meggers to test various electronic equipment Support routine assessment and testing onboard assigned equipment including conducting system and equipment functional tests to achieve TOA ready status. Experience with military logistics and with ordering supplies through OMMS-NG. Thorough knowledge of the Navy's 3M PMS system including COSAL, SKED, OMMS-NG, MRC validation and calibration. Maintain a HAZMAT control program IAW Naval Weapons Station Yorktown base regulation, NAVSUP FLC and NECC instructions in handling requirements for procurement, storage, use, and disposal of HAZMAT. Assist NAVELSG and subordinate units, and shall have detailed practical knowledge of radio systems, to include, antenna frequencies, proper handling of Crypto, programming radios, proper radio etiquette, tent camp layout, and the ability to relay these concepts in a training environment. Support NAVELSG's Calibration Program. Ensure relevant equipment is in the calibration program and help to ensure that the equipment is being calibrated at the appropriate time intervals. Document calibration certificates within DPAS-WM. Support welding and fitting support services for repairs to communications equipment and antennas installed on ISO containers and associated equipment. Conduct pre- and post-delivery acceptance inspection at designated sites, document findings, assist with discrepancy documentation and corrections as it pertains to communications equipment. Provide field service, set up, break down and repair of communications equipment. Develop processes for utilizing DPAS-WM to include data entry in the day-to-day operations of NAVELSG TOA. Issue and receive equipment and track items deployed throughout NAVELSG Enterprise. Support Integrated Logistics Support / Overhaul ILS/ILO Center procedures. Assist with configuration of TOA Warehouse Facilities. Prepare contract deliverables such as monthly status reports. Assist with quality control processes. Qualifications:
Secret security clearance eligibility required. Experience with Navy TOA processes required. Experience using the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) or Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), and specifically the Warehouse Management module, required. Experience/qualifications in expeditionary communications, NSW Communications School, Master Training Specialist or equivalent are required (desired?) . Experience using accountable property systems of record (APSRs), such as Model Based Product Support, CDMD-OA, OMMS-NG, COSAL, 3M-PMS, MRC and SKED, required. Proper handling of HAZMAT is required. Experience with the Navy's 3M preventative maintenance system required; 3M supervisor experience is highly desirable. RPPO/3M 302 highly desired. Experience using business intelligence software, especially TABLEAU, is highly desirable. Materials handling equipment (MHE, e.g forklift operator up to 30K) license is highly desirable. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
