Seeking District School Library Media Teacher/Librarian for the 2025-26 School Year for the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District

Under the supervision and direction of the Director of curriculum & Instruction, the School Library Media Teacher/Librarian shall have the curricular, instructional, administrative, student services and other responsibilities as assigned.

The fundamental responsibilities of the LMT is to provide the leadership and expertise necessary to ensure that the library media program is an integral part of the instructional program for the school. In carrying out that mission, the library media teacher functions as an information specialist, teacher and instructional partner. As an information specialist, the LMT is responsible for establishing and maintaining a quality collection of resources, and for developing the policies and procedures to maximize access. As a teacher, the LMT ensures an integral part of the total school program. As an instructional partner in collaboration with the library technician and teachers, the LMT employs a wide range of resources and teaching methodologies to meet the intellectual and developmental needs of students.

*Position requires 10 additional days (5 days before the start of school year and 5 days after the end of the school year) to be paid at employee's daily rate
