Closing Date: Until Filled The primary function of the Library/Building Secretary position is to facilitate and support any and all necessary secretarial functions in the library and handle correspondence for the efficient operation of schools. In addition, this position shall also include additional related duties as defined by the building administration.

Qualifications: High School Diploma Experience in secretarial duties. Pleasant, cooperative, and professional personality. Must present a positive and professional image of the school district. Proven computer skills and advanced knowledge in Google Workspace/ Library Software for Education. Familiar with computer functions and data entry. Proven office operation skills (filing, record keeping, task management, etc.) Above-average communication skills. Experience:

At least one year of successful experience in an office setting. Experience in the use of technology required. Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:

The part-time Library/Building Secretary is responsible to:

Monitor students in the library when the library specialist is teaching. Assist students with book selection and computer usage. Data entry, running overdue notices, some cataloging, and circulating books. Assist students in computer class and troubleshoot computer and printer problems. Process new books and delete lost copies and damaged books from the automated system. Scan books for inventory. Work at the circulation desk to answer student and faculty questions. Check books into the library automation system and out to students who need books. Shelve books and maintain shelves. Assist the library specialist with preparation for author visits and other necessary duties. Pull books for library displays and for teachers' research classes. Order supplies for library. Repair books as required. Ensure that magazines are received according to subscriptions. Complete laminating work. Assist school visitors and parents in any manner necessary. Assist with office and school duplicating work. Work in cooperation with all office personnel as needed. Update all rosters in student-used programs and manage reports in those programs. Sort and distribute daily mail. Complete additional duties as assigned by the building Principal

The noise level in this environment is quiet to loud, depending on the activity in the particular part of the day.

Terms of Employment:

Salary, work year, and other terms and conditions of employment as established by contract between Whitehall-Coplay School District, Superintendent, and the Whitehall-Coplay School District Board of Directors.
