Staff Photojournalist, San Antonio Express-News
The San Antonio Express-News seeks an experienced photojournalist who is highly proficient in still photography across a broad section of subject matter and is also well versed in video and video editing. The winning candidate will help continue the digital transformation and be on the bleeding edge of digital media as we continue to win new audience across multiple platforms.
The San Antonio-Express News is seeking someone with three plus years of experience at a daily newspaper. The candidate will be responsible for daily news coverage as well as enterprise stories told with still images along with some video.
Responsibilities
The Express-News is known for a documentary focus and a commitment to narrative storytelling. The successful candidate will be adept at both. South-Central Texas is a racially and culturally diverse region. You must be able to connect with people and handle emotionally difficult stories as they arise. The staff uses Canon mirrorless equipment, Mac laptops, Photoshop, Photomechanic, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Bridge and more. Proficiency with those programs is a must. Qualifications
You must have a reliable personal vehicle and the ability to work and transmit while in the field. You must have 3 to 10 years of experience in daily journalism Your portfolio must emphasize both still and video journalism. A valid drone license is a plus. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
